I have never met you. I grew up with Jenny but we were never close friends. I happened to see an unbelievable post about your wedding day on Facebook. Yes, Facebook. This seemingly big, bad, wolf that often times consumes and distracts us and has a sly way of diluting stories until they feel mundane. Yet, the opportunity to peer into your lives from afar has been anything but mundane. I see two beautiful souls deeply in love. I see strength. I see intellect. I see a remarkable ability to communicate. You two are impeccable storytellers. Your words drip with honesty, perspective and understanding. Thank you for taking the time to express your journey. Your love is so incredibly alive and I wanted you both to know I am in awe.

3 things: 1. Wow. Wow. Wow. You both are master teachers in being present. 2. Sam, never lose your #notdeadyet. 3. This beautiful blog keeps making me cry! Sometimes it's because I'm feeling for you, sometimes it's because I'm overwhelmed with you, and sometimes it's because of the beauty in how you express your experiences. I'm pulling for you!

Sam we are saddened to hear about your current situation but we are awed by your incredible outlook and courage to face the unknown with fortitude and strength. So much of healing is about that. Know that we are rooting for you and praying for a good outcome. You obviously have much support and that will carry you far. We are not Facebook folks but Ryan noted this and let us know. Please share with your family they too will be in our prayers. God Bless You !!!! The Schweitzers

We are so pleased to hear that you're strong enough for the next round of treatment. Your wisdom is inspirational! Your writing allows us an intimate space to journey with you as does Jenny's. We are with you both. Embracing you with our love and strength as you move forward.

Sam, so happy to hear that you finally received the good news that you deserve. Thank you for sharing your fishing trip with us! We pray that such a beautiful Brookie is an indication of the beautiful life you and Jenny have in front of you. We can't even imagine how uplifting the fly fishing must have been for you! Nothing better than the peacefulness wading in the water provides the soul. We continue to pray and keep you close in our thoughts. You are amazing - you can do this!! Comments are closed.
